M. David Dennis, MD
Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
Dr. Dennis completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin, then entered Baylor College of Medicine, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1975. After completing his internship and orthopedic residency at Baylor University, Dr. Dennis finished a fellowship in low back pain at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
While in fellowship training at Texas Tech, Dr. Dennis organized and directed the Low Back Pain Clinic. He completed a Leon Wiltse MD Fellowship at the University of California, Long Beach, where he was a consultant to the Low Back Pain Clinic.
Dr. Dennis received his board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in September 1981. He’s a fellow of the American Back Society and a member of several professional organizations. Dr. Dennis is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and has served as chief and vice chief of orthopedics at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
David Dennis, MD practices orthopedic surgery at South Texas Spinal Clinic, where he treats the full scope of spinal conditions, with a special interest in helping people with low back pain, including sacroiliac joint pain. In 2015 he furthered his education on minimally invasive SI joint disorders by attending a Master’s Course on the iFuse Implant System. He welcomes those needing orthopedic care for back and neck pain in the South Texas area.
